All Fired Up in Delft
9 November 2002
Delft: Tile painting
the professionals have 30 brushes to choose from; we get two and one color: black, which turns blue in the 1,000+ degree firing process
pencial grease prevents paint from sinking in; my might well be a disaster
Paradiso: a neat old building that seems to be a meshing of a church and a (small) train station. Soli Deo Gloria is etched in stone above the central (stained-glass?) window and ironworks form the building's frame
Obi: Great; The Frames, uninspiring; Apples in Stereo: A mess (from Colorado? female drummer) The Libertines: don't stay for whole performance, loud, obnoxious stuff
